If there is one part of the garden that is most at risk of getting neglected, it is surely the very end of it. But if you know you have neglected the end of your garden you should be very careful of losing it altogether. If you have trees and bushes in that area they can very quickly grow to take it over, and suddenly you will find your garden is getting smaller and smaller.
Are you looking out at your garden now and seeing a similar picture? If you are perhaps it is time to do something about it. The good news is that no matter how overgrown it might be you can start making a difference with just an hour or so of clearing per day.
The best way to go about this task is to think about the end result you want to get. What will you use this newly reclaimed space for? Think about how much sunlight it could get for instance. Perhaps you could create a cosy spot for having a nice lunch? You might already have a garden table near the house, but why not try and create another space at the end of your garden as well?
A smaller bistro table with two chairs is ideal for this purpose. Clear away the end of your garden and create a space you can use to hide away in. Add some trellis to any nearby fences or sheds and grow some climbing plants up them. These would look truly stunning and you can really enjoy getting the most out of your cosy new area.
The key is to think about this part of your garden in a different way. At the moment you might feel overwhelmed with the task of clearing all the rubbish or overgrown plants and bushes out of the way. But if you have your image of a cosy haven to think about, you can see how good this will make you feel. It should push you on to complete the clearance work so you can invest in your new bistro garden table and chairs and put them where you want them.
It might also be good to add a small summerhouse or perhaps just a small potting shed up there. It all depends on how you use your garden and what you want to achieve in it.
